MTV Does It Straight Up Gangsta!

Watched MTV Movie Awards last night: 

How funny was Aziz Ansari? To be honest, didn't know much - or anything - about the guy, so when I heard he was presenting I was wearing a 'it-should've-been-Russell-Brand-pout' for days (I know, need to expand my life), but, in my opinion, the boy Aziz was kind of just a little awesome, so he gets my vote to return next year! 

Was it just me? Or did anyone else notice how nervous-looking Zac Efron was?? It seemed something was bothering him; an itchy suit, perhaps? An uncomfortable chair?...The thought someone was going to mention Charlie St. Cloud...?

And as if this could possibly fail to get a mention... Guys, how utterly bad-ass was Tom Cruise? Loved the way Katie Holmes started off looking all 'Oh, sweet Lord he's going to embarrass Suri!' then  had that proud 'That's my man, he's so talented!' cheer at the end. I'm telling you, that routine will go down as an MTV classic! Yeaaahhh, TC!!

But no matter how good an award show may be, there's bound to be the odd dud moment -Kristen Stewart's speech???? ...Yeah, not even gonna go there...


Still, great show, MTV!!

Oh, and the Kiss Cam (they should make it a regular feature) - how adorable were Zac and Vanessa??

To be Young and Rich -- Filthy Rich

Do you see that armband Vanessa has on...the one with the feather hanging from it? Cute, isn't it? Yeah, cute and darn expensive!! Planet Blue would lift $300 off you for that little thing! Part of me thinks it's completely...absurd, ridiculous, ludicrous, preposterous - take your pick - to pay 300 bucks for a thing like that, but on the other hand, it's not as though she'll ever get through the money she has, so why not? 

Would I buy it? I would have to be feeling particularly frivolous, that day. Right now, I'm saying no.

Some say that Vanessa has Zac wrapped around her little finger. I don't believe that. I prefer...tightly bound and secured with extra-strong sticky tape   Kudos to you, Vanessa 
And on a side note, I've never seen a top that screams, "I'm 21 now!" like hers does.

At the Me and Orson Welles premier, there were a couple of girls behind me, constantly making snide remarks about Vanessa Hudgens - not that they spoilt my experience, because I don't think anyone could have :) - and it really bothered me. Not just because I like Vanessa, but because I hate to see that side of people. I mean, no matter what mistakes Vanessa - or anyone for that matter - happened to make, how does that effect anybody other than her? Don't get me wrong, I'm not condoning those photos, but it was her choice to take them and that has nothing to do with me. Whether or not you like her films or music is really irrelevant, but I'd prefer having someone make a negative comment about her work - personality even - rather than just out of bitter jealousy.
For example, I have a strong dislike for Miley Cyrus, yet if someone makes a comment about her weight, for instance, I'll choose to stay out of a conversation so petty and immature.
The way I see it, there's enough hate in this world. Why create more?

Jeez, those photographers just couldn't wait for Vanessa to leave Gabriella behind so they could put her in bikinis and low-cut dresses, could they? Isn't this shoot for Parade Magazine about the third of its kind since HSM finished? *rolls eyes*

I know all you Vanessa fans are saying "At last!" and "Finally!". Here it is - the trailer we thought would never come: BANDSLAM!!





I still think they should've left the title as 'Will' or even 'Rock On', but the trailer does look pretty good... I can't wait to see the relationship between Sa5m and Will; we know Vanessa can do chemistry with Zac, but can she pull it off with someone she isn't dating?...

Oscars 2009

The Oscars this year were DEFINITELY the best in years!! ...Some may say I'm biased and that I only enjoyed the show because of Zac and Vanessa's performance, but that's not true...really it isn't!! Though... if they feel like calling them back every year I'd be completely fine with that.
Their performance aside, I do think the show was amazing this year; Hugh Jackman's opening number had me in stitches (especially the part about Benjamin Button) and the dresses were... I LOVED THEM!!! I usually have a list of my favourite five dresses, but this year I found myself extending it - at first to six, then seven, by the end of the night I'd scrapped the idea of numbering the list.

The Injustice!!!

Hmph!! Golden Globes have officially lost a viewer! Not a single nomination for HSM3!?!?
I wasn't really expecting one for best (supporting)actors or anything but nothing for Can I Have This Dance!? NOTHING!?!?!
Did they not hear that song!? Did they not see that dance!? It's an OUTRAGE! One of the best songs of the entire movie-the entire series! and they didn't even acknowledge it! Huh!
Well...let's not give up hope....there are still other award shows to come (hopefully ones more capable of picking nominees)...

And just so we all remember the amazing song the over-looked....

Vanessa on DWTS

Remember that E! interview where Vanessa and Ashley were asked if they'd do DWTS? Ashley said that she liked watching it, but Vanessa stayed silent. That's when I first started wonder whether she had been offered a place- so when she turned up to watch the final show my instinct immediately said she'd be on next season.

Then again, celebs usually go on shows like that when they need the publicity and I'm pretty sure that isn't Vanessa's case but I still think there's a very strong chance of her being on the show. If I had a few weeks free, knew I was a good dancer and someone was offering me tons money to dance I wonder what I would do??....Of course I'd do it! Who wouldn't??

Is This The Scene?

For the previous HSM movies, I've always picked my favourite scene between Troy and Gabriella; in the first movie it was Troy climbing onto her balcony and in the second, it was the picnic scene. And in the third? As I've yet to see the movie, it's too early to decide, but ''Can I Have This Dance?'' is definitely a strong contender. I've watched the video about 4 times so far, and have been attempting to Waltz for the entire day, and a song has to be special for it to have that kind of affect of me. The rest of the scenes are going to have to be absolutely mind-blowing if they want to stand a chance against this one...

It Could Go Either Way...

There is a VERY fine line between romantic and cheesy, and my hope for hsm3 is that ,although it may come very close to crossing that line, it doesn't lose itself in the cheese.'Is that a yes?' Troy asks Gabriella in one of the scenes, 'In every language...' she replies...If only they had left it there...but no. Disney had to go and have her recite 'yes' in other languages! Why would you do that!? The perfect example of a line that could've been romantic but was taken WAY too far.

I feel like I've been waiting for this movie forever and now it's just a few days away and I really hope I'm not going to cringe throughout the entire movie.

It wouldn't be the first time the final chapter to a film was completely ruined...The Godfather 3 anyone?

Vanessa Hudgens Interview

I actually like Vanessa Hudgens more now than I did before her scandal. Recently she has said that she's grown and learnt from experiences and I think you can see when she talks that she seems to have matured over the last few months and that she speaks more honestly now, which I think is because she is no longer has to be the sweet innocent Disney girl. In this interview she is asked- for the first time on camera- about the photos and although you could see she was uncomfortable, she handled it well and admitted that despite appearances it wasn't an easy thing to go through but now she feels she has moved on.
