Corbin's Breaking Free

Corbin Bleu Reaches New ‘Heights’ On BroadwayYa know, it feels quite strange to be happy for someone you've never met - at least in any intimate circumstances. How can you be happy for someone that you don't really know? That, I can't explain, but what I do know is that I feel - yep - happy for Corbin Bleu.
After having been pretty much over looked by the media during HSM for Zac, and being involved in projects that have gotten either little publicity - Freestyle - or low ratings - The Beautiful Life - it looks like Corbin is finally on the right path...he's heading to Broadway!! He is going to be playing Usanavi (a leading role) in In the Heights.

I think that's proof that, eventually, your talent wins through. Way to go, Bleuman!!

Corbique?

If Monique hadn't already said Corbin
was too young for her, I'd swear something was going on between the two. ...I mean, is this the way you look at a 'friend'?

Gotta Love a Man in a Suit

Who's that? I just can't put my finger on it. I vaguely recognise the face...the hair rings a bell, too but... Wait. Is that...? No - can't be. Hold on, it is. Corbin? Corbin Bleu!? Wow! Well aint he growin' up real nice? ;)

Corbin in the UK!!!

That's right, you read correctly! The UK's getting the Bleuman! *cheers excitedly* I've been waiting forever! ...Okay, well maybe not forever, but since his first album!

Also, a subject that is equally as important, HE CUT HIS HAIR! I wasn't sure about this at first, after all, the hair does maketh the man, but it's growing on me. I'm actually hoping he cuts it even lower. It's currently at an in between stage but now I want him to be brave and go all the way.

Who's with me!?

Celebrate You

I think this song's way to poppy and it would've been much better had it have been an R&B song, but fortunately the lyrics save it and - even if it's just for the message - make it a song worth listening to.
They could've definitely have done more with the music video...Hollywood records seem to be skimping when it comes to funds these days.

Corbin Bleu-Speed Of Light

I have to admit, I did underestimate Corbin when he released his first album; I didn't think it was worth buying so downloaded it instead....what a mistake that was! Since then, I pledged that I would actually buy his second album. And I will keep that promise-I have officially marked my calender: Speed of Light 10th April!!!

Freestyle

To be honest, the trailer didn't manage to capture me but I still plan to see it; I'm looking forward to seeing Corbin in a more grown up role and I love the fact he produced it with his dad...He acts, sings, writes, dances and now produces! And they say he's just a triple threat!

It Could Go Either Way...

There is a VERY fine line between romantic and cheesy, and my hope for hsm3 is that ,although it may come very close to crossing that line, it doesn't lose itself in the cheese.'Is that a yes?' Troy asks Gabriella in one of the scenes, 'In every language...' she replies...If only they had left it there...but no. Disney had to go and have her recite 'yes' in other languages! Why would you do that!? The perfect example of a line that could've been romantic but was taken WAY too far.
I feel like I've been waiting for this movie forever and now it's just a few days away and I really hope I'm not going to cringe throughout the entire movie.
It wouldn't be the first time the final chapter to a film was completely ruined...The Godfather 3 anyone?

Corbin Does Teen Vogue

Corbin Bleu finally does a real magazine interview. I'm glad that he's receiving more publicity, because it seemed that the media have been more focused on Zac and Vanessa for these last few years, and even though they are the stars of the movie it is a six-part cast and as each character adds an element to the story I think it's completely unfair to push the others to the sidelines.

A Prankster Never Changes Its Spots

Remind me why Zac was pranked by the cast and crew? Oh yeah, because they wanted to get him back, but as Zac proves once a prankster, always a prankster....

The Bleuman Shakes Up His Sound

I must say, I wasn't expecting to like Corbin's album as much as I did, you never got to hear him sing in the first HSM so his voice really surprised me. Even though his second album isn't out until next year I'm already excited...question is: Will he deliver? In this interview, he tells Billboard about the changes in his sound, and how it will differ from Another Side...

Currently on tour playing festivals and fairs in support of his 2007 debut, "Another Side," singer-actor Corbin Bleu tells Billboard.com he's begun recording his follow-up album."There will be a lot of differences with the second album," Bleu says.

"First of all, it's just more personal. I'm involved in every aspect of the writing. As far as the direction of the music, it's very different. I wanted this album to have something that was a little bit of rock, a little bit of R&B and a little bit of pop."The R&B has wonderful rhythms and beats," he continues. "I'm a dancer, and when I perform live I love to dance. So I have to make sure it has that nice kicking bass. The pop sound is to make it a little bit more now, and when it comes to the rock, it makes it very live feeling, very instrumental. I listen to a lot of music like classic rock, alternative, hip-hop, classical, jazz, whatever. So I'm very musical and like to be able to incorporate that into my music as well."

Bleu, 19, said producer Eric Hudson (Kanye West) is attached to the majority of the project, along with songwriter/lyricist Claude Kelly. So far all three have collaborated on material. Unreleased songs already getting stage time include the ballad "Close," the anthemic rock track "Whatever It Takes" and the R&B-leaning "Champion." The currently untitled album is due out in February via Hollywood.

Looking ahead to the Oct. 24 feature film release of "High School Musical 3: Senior Year," Bleu hints fans can expect big numbers.

"(Director) Kenny Ortega, when he has a bigger budget, he's going to go for it," Bleu says. "So we have really huge numbers and a lot of different dance genres including cha-cha-cha and breakdancing. We even have a Bob Fosse tribute. Zac (Efron) and I have a really cool duet called 'The Boys are Back.'"

...Do you think Corbin's Sophomore album will be as strong? I have faith in the Bleuman-he won't let us down....
