The Injustice!!!

Hmph!! Golden Globes have officially lost a viewer! Not a single nomination for HSM3!?!?
I wasn't really expecting one for best (supporting)actors or anything but nothing for Can I Have This Dance!? NOTHING!?!?!
Did they not hear that song!? Did they not see that dance!? It's an OUTRAGE! One of the best songs of the entire movie-the entire series! and they didn't even acknowledge it! Huh!
Well...let's not give up hope....there are still other award shows to come (hopefully ones more capable of picking nominees)...

And just so we all remember the amazing song the over-looked....

Is This The Scene?

For the previous HSM movies, I've always picked my favourite scene between Troy and Gabriella; in the first movie it was Troy climbing onto her balcony and in the second, it was the picnic scene. And in the third? As I've yet to see the movie, it's too early to decide, but ''Can I Have This Dance?'' is definitely a strong contender. I've watched the video about 4 times so far, and have been attempting to Waltz for the entire day, and a song has to be special for it to have that kind of affect of me. The rest of the scenes are going to have to be absolutely mind-blowing if they want to stand a chance against this one...
Look at it...Isn't it the most romantic thing you've ever seen?

It Could Go Either Way...

There is a VERY fine line between romantic and cheesy, and my hope for hsm3 is that ,although it may come very close to crossing that line, it doesn't lose itself in the cheese.'Is that a yes?' Troy asks Gabriella in one of the scenes, 'In every language...' she replies...If only they had left it there...but no. Disney had to go and have her recite 'yes' in other languages! Why would you do that!? The perfect example of a line that could've been romantic but was taken WAY too far.

I feel like I've been waiting for this movie forever and now it's just a few days away and I really hope I'm not going to cringe throughout the entire movie.

It wouldn't be the first time the final chapter to a film was completely ruined...The Godfather 3 anyone?

HSM3 Promo Stops

So last week I founded the dates for the HSM3 dates and remember I said they could all be changed? Well, they've been changed! But don't worry, because I have the new dates and hopefully these ones are here to stay....

For all UK readers: The London premiere will now be on the 7th October and is being held at the Empire in Leicester Square.

These are how the dates stand at the moment, but I will update this if I hear of any changes.

I'm actually counting down the number of days; 59 until the UK premiere and 66 until actual release!!! If anyone is planning on going to the UK premiere, I'll be the one screaming with Zac and Corbin's faces on a shirt...

High School Musical 3: First Look

Even though HSM3 is still over 3 months away, Radio Disney will premiere a song from the movie 'Now or Never' on Friday and to add to the excitement Disney Channel will be showing a sneak peak of it (hosted by Zac and Vanessa) around the world from this Sunday.

I'm pretty sure this is the most excited I've been for a movie and although the next 3 months are going to be really, really hard, I'm sure this weekend will help ease the pain :-).

For US readers 'Now or Never' will premiere on Radio Disney on Friday 11th 7:15pm ET, the 'First Look' will air 7:55pm ET/PT on Disney Channel Sunday 13th
and the trailer will be launched online Disney.com Monday 14th 12:01am.

For non-US readers 'First Look' will air Monday 14th on Disney Channel.

The Torture!!

Because of the popularity of High School Musical, there has been so much information about the filming of the third movie. At first that sounded really good-I was excited to here the date they began filming and all the behind the scenes information but the other day it hit me, 'There are almost 4 months until the movie comes out!!'. Now I'm wishong I hadn't heard when they'd wrapped becuase I know there is a completed movie out there a we are still unable to see, with the second one I didnt know they had even started filming until it was finished and so the wait was only a few months...but 5!! I'm not sure I can make it...

So the official count down begins: 3 months 21 days until HSM3

Camp Rock vs HSM?

So,will Camp Rock be the next HSM?. My answer is a resounding 'I think not'. As a JB fan I don't doubt this newest DCOM will add to the already successful franchise but to expect it to take of as HSM did, I think it overly-optimistic. Why?...Think back to the first time you watched High School Musical, what about it drew you in? Yes, the romantic 'Girl meets Boy' storyline, but it was also the songs, each of them as contagious as the other. This is where I think Camp Rock falls short. For me the songs lack that magic ingredient, that thing that gets them stuck in your head after just one listen and without this, it appears- sorry JoBros- HSM's reign continues in the tween world.
